Strategic Workshop: Understanding the Malaysian Education Plan (2026-2035)
The National Education Plan (2026–2035) was officially announced and launched by the Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, on 20 January 2026.
Following this important milestone, the Association for Advocacy & Community Empowerment (ACE) organised a Strategic Workshop: Understanding the Malaysia Education Plan (2026–2035) on 7 February 2026 at SJKT Thamboosamy, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur.
The workshop aimed to provide a clearer overview of the plan while identifying gaps, challenges, and areas that require further attention and support from the government, based on ground-level experiences.
A total of 63 participants, comprising NGO leaders and educationists, took part in the session. Participating organisations included CHILD, Tamil Foundation, EWRF, MySkills Foundation, PTDM, GOPIO Malaysia, DHRRA Malaysia, PASUMAI, TAM, National LPS, Persatuan ILHAM Sel & KL, PPST, HYO Port Klang, TEC Selangor, MTSEWA, PERTAMA, PGB SJKT Malaysia, KKGSTM, MGBT Selangor, CUMIG, Tamil Kaapagam, SMC, INSPIRE, NGO & Government Pre-School Teachers, SJKT Teachers, SK Teachers and SMK teachers (Government & Private), Kolej Tingkatan 6 lecturers, IPG lecturers, as well as lecturers from IPTA and IPTS. Among the individuals present were Prof. Datuk Dr. N. S. Rajendran, Dato’ S. Kumaran, and Dr. R. Kumaravelu.
Participants engaged actively in meaningful discussions, contributing valuable insights, inputs, and recommendations. These collective findings will be compiled and brought forward to the relevant ministries for further consideration.
